About Armstrong Roofing, Inc.

Roofing Contractors Serving San Mateo, FL, & Beyond

Founded by Lester “Bud” Armstrong in 1949, Armstrong Roofing, Inc. is a family-owned and operated roofing company in San Mateo, FL. For over 80 years, we have served residential, commercial and industrial clients throughout Putnam, St. Johns, Clay, and surrounding counties. Our company is fully licensed and insured and specializes in a range of roofing services. This includes new roof installation, roof replacements, and more. We install most types of slope roofs and flat roofs and work with a range of roofing materials including metal, metal tile, shingles, and flat (modified bitumen). In addition to roofing services, we also provide gutter repair and replacement. We strive for excellence in service and customer satisfaction.

Both our President and CEO have attained the status of Certified Professional Roofing Contractor (CPRC) by FRSA. Less than a hundred contractors have ever held this distinction, and we are the only FRSA Certified Professional Roofing Contractors in Putnam County. We are also the only local Johns Manville-Certified Contractor.

TERRY L. TURNER, CPRC, CEO

Terry is the CEO of Armstrong Roofing, Inc. and President of Armstrong Contracting Services. He has been active in the roofing business over 40 years and contracting business for almost 30 years. He has served on many local and state committees including:

Les is the President of Armstrong Roofing, Inc. He has been active in the roofing business over 20 years, and contracting business over 25 years. He has served on many local and state committees including:

GINA SIMS

Terry’s youngest daughter & Les’ wife, Gina has been Office Manager for Armstrong Roofing & Armstrong Contracting Services for over 20 years. She and Les have three children. She has served as President and Vice President of the San Mateo Women’s Club and is a current member. She has served on many committees including:

  • Putnam County Chamber of Commerce Board
  • Palatka Rotary
  • Project Play Revitalization Committee
  • Co-Chair of the FRSA Young Professionals Committee
  • The FRSA Ladies Committee
  • Current President of the San Mateo Women’s Club.

Our company is a member of the Florida Roofing, Sheet Metal, and Air Conditioning Contractors Association (FRSA), the Northeast Florida Roofing, Sheet Metal, and Air Conditioning Association (NEFRSA), and are very active in the Putnam County Chamber of Commerce. In 2005, we were voted the Small Business of the Year by the Putnam County Chamber of Commerce.
